PACKAGING MACHINE OP
Job Description
Tempstar in Hanover PA is seeking candidates for a Packaging Machine Operator position on 2nd shift for a Food Manufacturing Company in the Hanover area.
Duties:
-Starts and stops filler machine as required to insure continuity of operations.
-Checks for properly filled containers, adding or removing production from improperly filled containters.
-Set controls for speed of filler drum and line speed to insure adequate fills.
-Adheres to common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
-Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
-Adheres to our plant hygiene standards to insure high product integrity.
-Should not leave assigned area unless given permission by Supervisor or Leadperson.
-Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.
-Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor or Leadperson.
Job Requirements
-Basic math skills
-Ability to work with minimum Supervision
-Ability to communicate to Management and co-workers
-Ability to work in all environments
-Ability to work overtime as required
-Must have good attendance record
-Safe work habits
-Previous experience in a food processing plant is preferred
